Families in Buffalo have a new way to make memories with private animal encounters at the Buffalo Zoo, where guests can get remarkably close to animals like giraffes, rhinos, and sloths.
Available for up to six people per session at $150, these exclusive experiences last about 25 to 30 minutes and give an insider’s look into the daily lives of the zoo’s most fascinating creatures.
Encounters must be booked at least seven days in advance and require separate general admission.
Arriving 15 minutes early and wearing closed-toe shoes are both recommended for safety and a smooth visit.
The zoo also features the new ‘Destination Dinosaur’ exhibit from May 2 to October 31, transporting visitors into the prehistoric era with giant replicas and hands-on displays.

Buffalo Harbor State Park reopens this Friday, unveiling major upgrades that promise a vibrant waterfront experience for locals and visitors alike.
The all-new, 6,700-square-foot sprayground stands out as a centerpiece, featuring 162 interactive water elements. Families can enjoy spray jets, misting arches, and a playful dumping bucket from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, all while a state-of-the-art system recirculates water to boost sustainability.
A dramatic buffalo sculpture by Ai Qiu Hopen adds artistic flair, crafted from 2,000 stainless-steel birds symbolizing unity and local wildlife.
The park also offers a universally accessible playground, new café and retail options, and scenic pergola swings overlooking the harbor. Food trucks, public restrooms, and community-focused spaces make it more inviting than ever.
Governor Kathy Hochul praised the improvements as a transformative leap forward, making Buffalo’s waterfront a truly top-tier destination. Read More... |
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has announced a limited-edition cap designed to benefit families across Western New York.
The exclusive "Billustration Re-cap" showcases artwork by young patients at Golisano Children's Hospital of Buffalo, and mirrors the hats Allen wore during last season’s home games.
Available for $50.30, the cap’s proceeds are dedicated to the Patricia Allen Fund, a tribute to Allen’s late grandmother and a vital support for the hospital.
Allen shared how meaningful this project is to him, especially with the community’s overwhelming response and the heartfelt creativity of all nine patient artists featured.
Last year, the Billustration campaign raised over $140,000 for pediatric care, reflecting Buffalo’s strong spirit.
Caps can be purchased via New Era, giving fans a chance to make a difference for local families.
Allen’s continued efforts highlight his unwavering commitment to Buffalo’s children and their care. Read More... |
